Why choose Atlanta Technical Divers?

Given the growing number of technical instructors out there and considering the fact that north central Florida is a technical diving Mecca, this is a fair question. Why not just contact an instructor down there and complete all of your training in Florida?

One significant advantage of training with us is that you'll receive much more training time with an instructor (usually with more than one instructor). As an example, consider cave training. If you schedule a class in Florida (cavern, intro, apprentice, or full cave) your training will typically only last two days. In that short time your instructor will need to complete several hours of lecture, land drills, and the actual dives (usually four). We, on the other hand, complete the lectures in the Atlanta area and also schedule a pool session prior to the certification trip so that when we arrive in Florida both you and your gear are fine-tuned and ready to dive. Our certification trips are almost always at least three days during which we typically get in six to eight dives. So even for a cavern course you'll complete your lectures and a pool session before going down for three full days of diving (more training and diving experience for your money).

And it doesn't end there. We schedule cave diving weekends every month and encourage all former students to come along. You'll have ready made opportunities to gain experience by diving with others of all levels. This allows plenty of practice and feedback which can dramatically and efficiently improve your technique.

So you can complete your technical training with one of the many other qualified tech instructors out there, but you'll be a more skilled, more competent diver with a built in circle of dive buddies if you choose Atlanta Technical Divers.
